Biosignals Studio Desktop exports recordings exclusively in the .hdf5 /. h5 format (Hierarchical Data Format 5).
Why .h5?
The .h5 format is widely used in scientific and engineering applications because it:
- Stores large and complex biosignal datasets efficiently.
- Supports hierarchical organization, keeping metadata (sampling rate, sensor type, device info) together with the raw data.
- Ensures data integrity and reproducibility, which is essential in research and clinical environments.

Can I export to other formats (CSV, TXT or other)?
Direct export to other formats is currently not available in Biosignals Studio Desktop. If you need your recordings in formats such as CSV or TXT, you can:
- Use third-party HDF5-compatible tools (e.g., HDF5 Viewer) to open and convert the
.h5files. - Export processed datasets via custom scripts in Python/MATLAB once you load the
.h5data.
