How to configure & Enable the Bluetooth Dongle (Windows)

Bluetooth issues may occur when using onboard Bluetooth modules of your computer. This is often due to incompatibilities between the biosignalsplux device and the Bluetooth module and its driver. For this reason, we strongly recommend using the biosignalsplux USB Dongle which comes with your biosignalsplux kit.

Configuring your Bluetooth Dongle
Follow the steps below to enable the Bluetooth dongle:

  1. Insert the Bluetooth dongle into your computer’s USB port
  2. Go the the “Device Manager page
  3. Open the Bluetooth menu
  4. Find your computer’s internal Bluetooth (e.g. Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R))
  5. Right-click over it and choose “Disable device”. This should disable the computer’s internal Bluetooth
  6. Right-click on the “Generic Bluetooth Adapter” or “Generaic Bluetooth Radio” and choose “Update driver
  7. Select “Browse my computer for driver software
  8. Select “Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer”
  9. Select “Generic Bluetooth Adapter” and click “Next”
