Bluetooth issues may occur when using onboard Bluetooth modules of your computer. This is often due to incompatibilities between the biosignalsplux device and the Bluetooth module and its driver. For this reason, we strongly recommend using the biosignalsplux USB Dongle which comes with your biosignalsplux kit.
Configuring your Bluetooth Dongle
Follow the steps below to enable the Bluetooth dongle:
- Insert the Bluetooth dongle into your computer’s USB port
- Go the the “Device Manager“ page
- Open the Bluetooth menu
- Find your computer’s internal Bluetooth (e.g. Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R))
- Right-click over it and choose “Disable device”. This should disable the computer’s internal Bluetooth
- Right-click on the “Generic Bluetooth Adapter” or “Generaic Bluetooth Radio” and choose “Update driver“
- Select “Browse my computer for driver software“
- Select “Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer”
- Select “Generic Bluetooth Adapter” and click “Next”

Pairing your PLUX Device
After these steps, your computer should be configured to use the Bluetooth dongle. Add the biosignalsplux device your computer’s Bluetooth manager:
- Open the “Bluetooth & other devices” settings
- Click at “Add Bluetooth or other device” and choose “Bluetooth” to search for nearby devices
- Click on the biosignalsplux or BITalino device on the list once it is available
- Enter the device pin:
- 123 for biosignalsplux devices with firmware version 3.7 and older
- 1234 for biosignalsplux devices with firmware version 3.8 and newer
- 1234 for BITalino devices
If everything went correctly, your device should now be available in your Bluetooth devices list.
