How do I activate my OpenSignals add-on licenses?

OpenSignals comes with free and paid add-ons (or complementary in some kits).

While free add-ons are activated by default, all your paid and complimentary add-ons are linked to your device and automatically activated once you connect your device to OpenSignals with an active internet connection.

You can manually insert your license key should an active internet connection not be available for the activation process.

Find out how to activate your add-ons below and how to access your add-ons in this article.

Automatic Add-On License Activation (Online Activation)

The automatic add-on license activation requires an active internet connection and connection with your PLUX device and OpenSignals for the first-time activation process. Afterward, the add-ons can be turned off without the need of any of these active connections.

For the first-time activation, turn on your device and access the OpenSignals Device Manager.

Access the device manager in OpenSignals (r)evolution

Ensure that your device is available in the OpenSignals Device Manager as shown in the screenshot below.

Search for your device by clicking on the magnifying glass in the center of the device manager, should it not be listed yet.

Once available, access the OpenSignals help interface.

Here, you will find a list of all available add-ons that are linked to your device.

You can activate and deactivate as needed (without the need of following the previous steps) by toggling the checkboxes next to each individual add-on.

Manual Add-On License Activation (Offline Activation)

Should it not be possible to establish a connection with the PLUX servers to automatically activate your add-on, you can manually activate your add-on with a license code that is provided with the purchase of your add-on or kit (if it contains any add-ons).

Access the OpenSignals Help Interface.

Click on the Key icon to manually insert your license.

Insert your license key into the offline activation pop-up (1) and activate the add-on by clicking on the ACTIVATE button

After the activation, OpenSignals will automatically update the list of available add-ons.

You can activate and deactivate as needed (without the need of following the previous steps) by toggling the checkboxes next to each individual add-on.

Updating your licenses after adding new add-ons

If you’ve recently associated new add-ons to your PLUX device and need to update your license, enter the OpenSignals help interface.

Click on the refresh icon to update your add-ons (requires an active internet connection) and the new add-ons will be added to your add-ons list.

Should an active internet connection not be available, follow the instructions under the section Manual Add-On License Activation of this article.

What if I still can’t activate my add-ons?

If you have not purchased any add-ons or kits with add-ons included, then visit the OpenSignals section of our webstore where you can purchase add-ons

If you have purchased add-ons or add-ons included in kits but can’t activate the add-ons with the instructions provided above, use the form bellow to submit your device’s MAC-address or contact our support team. One of our team member will reach out to you to verify if and which add-ons are available for your device and provide you a license key for a manual insertion if necessary.
