biosignalsplux is a versatile multi-sensor platform designed for raw biosignal acquisitions in R&D. Our current sensor portfolio covers over 20 different biosignal sensors.

Collecting raw, medical-grade and multi-sensor data is a common challenge in R&D projects. biosignalsplux takes on this challenge by providing all the tools you need to use almost any sensor combination you need for your biosignals project. Whether you chose from our growing portfolio of 20+ sensors or decide to add third-party sensors to your setup, biosignalsplux provides the right tools for you.

In addition, we open up the access to the acquired data by providing ready-to-use signal acquisition software and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for those cases where you prefer to write your own signal processing solutions.

Introductory FAQs

Why is raw data so important?

Raw, unfiltered data is important for use cases where you want to apply your own signal processing methods and develop your own software application.

Working with raw data ensures that we don’t remove anything from the signal before you have the chance to work on them yourself.

Why is it good to have multiple biosignal sensors on the same platform?

When working in biosignals research, it is often not sufficient to look at an isolated signal as the human body consists of many interconnected systems and mechanisms. For instance, breathing patterns variations eventually lead to heart rate pattern variations.

While most systems on the market are specialised for individual sensors which are then often incompatible or difficult to synchronise with other systems.

biosignalsplux is designed to solve this issue by collecting synchronised data from multiple sensors and returning them in a joint data stream to ensure that you can research all interconnected signals you need for your research.

Do you have programming tools so that I can develop my own software?

Of course, you can find everything you need to know about this topic in the following article:

Official PLUX Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)

Does this mean that I always have to do my own signal processing?

No, not at all! Besides providing raw sensor data for developers to work with, we also have a variety of signal processing add-ons that handle the data processing for you.
