First Use
The Beurer® Blood Pressure Monitor (BM 57) comes with everything needed to record blood pressure data.
When using the device for the first time, a few steps are needed to configure the date and time of the device for the results to be stored on the device’s internal memory.
First, insert the included batteries first by removing the battery compartment and inserting the batteries.
Second, configure the time and date to store the recorded on the device’s internal memory. The configuration process is done by using the scale’s touch-sensitive up (⌃), down (⌄), and SET buttons on the glass surface.
- Press and hold the SET touch-sensitive button until the scale turns on
- Skip the APP screen by pressing SET again
- Configure the date and time using the up and down arrows and press SET to switch to the next configuration step
Measuring Data
A correct sensor placement is crucial to ensure that you are taking the correct measurement. Please ensure your weight scale is placed on a flat, even, and hard surface, and avoid placing it on surfaces that do not meet these criteria.

To measure your body weight data, step on the scale, which will automatically turn on and show the measured weight on the device’s built-in display.
Logging the results in OpenSignals Desktop
Results recorded by this device can be manually logged into your OpenSignals recordings during real-time acquisition and in post-processing using the Manual Measurements tool.
