Pair your BITalino or biosignalsplux device to your computer using your operating system’s Bluetooth manager before getting started with our OpenSignals software or Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for the best user experience.

Note: If you are using PLUX’s Bluetooth dongle, we recommend starting with the following guide first to ensure that the Bluetooth dongle is using the correct drivers: How to configure & Enable the Bluetooth Dongle (Windows).
Windows 7
Click on the start button at the right lower part of the Windows taskbar and click on Control Panel to access the control panel of your computer.

In the control panel, select the Add a device option in the Hardware and Sound section.

Ensure that your biosignalsplux or BITalino is turned on and wait until it appears in the list of available devices.
When your device has been found (here: biosignalsplux), click on the device and press Next at the lower right corner of the Add a device window.

Click on Enter the device’s pairing code and click on Next at the lower right corner of the window to proceed.

The pairing code for PLUX products are the following:
- BITalino devices: 1234
- biosignalsplux devices with firmware version 3.7 and older: 123
- biosignalsplux devices with firmware version 3.8 and newer: 1234

If Windows confirms that your device has been successfully added to your computer, the connection has been successfully established.

Windows 8
To connect your PLUX device to your computer via Bluetooth, a) press the triangle symbol at the right lower part of the Windows taskbar and b) click on the Bluetooth icon to open the Bluetooth settings panel.

Ensure that your biosignalsplux or BITalino is turned on and wait until it appears in the list of available devices.
When your device has been found, click on the device and click on Pair to connect to your device.

Windows will now try to connect to your device and pop up a window requesting you to enter the passcode (pin) of your device.
The pairing code for PLUX products are the following:
- BITalino devices: 1234
- biosignalsplux devices with firmware version 3.7 and older: 123
- biosignalsplux devices with firmware version 3.8 and newer: 1234

If Connected is displayed under the name of your biosignalsplux device in the Bluetooth settings panel, the connection has been successfully established.
Windows 10
To connect a PLUX device to your computer via Bluetooth, click on the start button at the left lower corner in Windows 10 to open the start menu. Click on the gear symbol to open the settings panel of your operating system as can be seen below.

In the settings panel, click on the Devices Bluetooth, printers, mouse field to open the device configurations of your system.

Select Bluetooth from the list, which is displayed on the left side of your settings window. Note, that in some versions the Bluetooth option might not be available and that Bluetooth devices might be listed under Other devices.
Ensure that your biosignalsplux or BITalino is turned on and wait until it appears in the list of available devices.
When your device has been found, click on the device and press Ready to pair in order to connect to your device.

Windows will now try to connect to your device and pop up a window requesting you to enter the passcode (pin) of your device.
The pairing code for PLUX products are the following:
- BITalino devices: 1234
- biosignalsplux devices with firmware version 3.7 and older: 123
- biosignalsplux devices with firmware version 3.8 and newer: 1234

If Pair is displayed under the name of your PLUX device in the Bluetooth settings panel, the connection has been successfully established.
macOS
To connect your PLUX device to your computer via Bluetooth, click on the Apple symbol at the top left corner of your display and select System Preferences…
In the system preferences window click on the Bluetooth symbol to open the Bluetooth

Ensure that your biosignalsplux or BITalino is turned on and wait until it appears in the list of available devices.
When your biosignalsplux or BITalino device has been found, click on the device and click on Pair to connect to your device.

An error will occur indicating that the connection could not be established due to a mismatching passkey. Click on Options… to enter the passkey (pairing code).

macOS will now try to connect to your device and pop up a window requesting you to enter the passcode (pin) of your device.

- BITalino devices: 1234
- biosignalsplux devices with firmware version 3.7 and older: 123
- biosignalsplux devices with firmware version 3.8 and newer: 1234
