Understanding PLUX Wearables

Contents

PLUX wearables are cutting-edge, wireless biosignal acquisition systems built for researchers who demand accuracy, comfort, and flexibility. Whether you’re capturing respiration (respiBAN BLE), muscle activity (muscleBAN BLE), or cardiac signals (cardioBAN BLE), each device offers seamless data synchronization, high-quality Bluetooth streaming, and onboard memory for out-of-the-lab recordings. All wearables share a lightweight, ergonomic design and are powered by PLUX’s new-generation hardware architecture, ensuring robust signal quality and future-ready performance. Below, you’ll find a side-by-side breakdown of each device to help you choose the best fit for your research needs.

FAQ

Can I use more than one wearable at the same time?

Yes. All PLUX BLE wearables can operate simultaneously and independently, allowing synchronized multi-sensor data collection for complex setups.

Are they all compatible with the same software?

Yes. All devices are compatible with PLUX’s APIs and software tools. You can use them with Python, MATLAB, C++, Unity, C#, Android, and more.

Is internal memory included in all models?

Yes. Each wearable has onboard memory:

muscleBAN BLE → up to 8h of EMG + motion

cardioBAN BLE → up to 10h of ECG + motion

respiBAN BLE → up to 10h of respiration + motion

Which one works better with Unity / Android?

All of them. The entire BLE wearable line (cardioBAN BLE, respiBAN BLE, and muscleBAN BLE) supports real-time Bluetooth streaming and is fully compatible with Unity and Android via dedicated APIs.
