How to view Biosignals Studio (Mobile) recordings in OpenSignals (Desktop)?

This step-by-step guide provides all the information needed to view the recorded files from the new Biosignals Studio Mobile app in the OpenSignals Desktop software.

Step 1: Activate Autosaving OpenSignals Files

Biosignals Studio (Mobile) stores recording files automatically, including files in an OpenSignals friendly format.

While the OpenSignals file formats are enabled by default, we recommend double-checking this option in Settings > Recording Settings > Autosave OpenSignals Files.

Step 2: Transfer Files

You can share your the recording files directly through the app to your computer. Navigate to Recordings and press the share button to share the files through a method of your choice.

Alternatively, you can find all your recordings in the Download > Biosignals Studio folder of your Android device.

The individual recordings are stored in individual subfolders where you can find files with an ‘opensignals_compatible‘ prefix. Upload these files to your computer.

Step 3: Open Your Recordings in OpenSignals

Enter the visualization mode using the ‘play’ button in the OpenSignals interface.

Click the folder icon. Use the open file dialogue to browse and open your recordings file (remember, the one with the opensignals_compatible_ pre-fix).

Congratulations! You have successfully opened a Biosignals Studio (Mobile) recording in OpenSignals desktop.
