iMotions Lab is a human behaviour research platform in which the recording of biosignals can be combined with stimuli presentation. It allows for study design, streaming of data and analysis of the data. Find more information on imotions.com.

Follow the steps in this article to find out how to stream your biosignals or BITalino signals to the iMotions software using the OpenSignals LSL feature.



1. Preparation
1.1. OpenSignals LSL Feature
How do I activate the LSL feature in OpenSignals?
Set-up your devices in OpenSignals and open the OpenSignals settings.

In the settings, click on the tab INTEGRATIONS and activate the checkbox next to the Lab Streaming Layer option.

The LSL stream will start automatically with the start of the signal acquisition. To start the acquisition, click on the red record button in the main interface.

1.2. iMotions Software download
Purchase the iMotions software through https://imotions.com/.
2. OpenSignals stream in iMotions
To add an OpenSignals stream in iMotions follow the steps below.
2.1. Global Settings
Open the Preferences in the main menu and select Global Settings:

2.2. Finding Lab Streaming Layer Options
In the Global Settings select Sensors and scroll down to Lab Streaming Layer:

2.3. Selecting OpenSignals
Select Outlets and search for OpenSignals:

2.4. OpenSignals device mac address
Your devices mac address should appear in Active Inlets:

2.5. Enable data collection
Select Enable data collection and/or Forward samples and confirm with OK:

2.6. OpenSigals Stream
Return to the main screen and find the OpenSignals stream:

Zoom in to see the details of the OpenSignals stream:

2.7. OpenSignals Stream in the Sensor Preview
Select Sensor Preview:

In Sensor Preview see the OpenSignals Stream:

2.8. Start / Stop collection
You can start and stop the collection by selecting the square button in the OpenSignals stream (in the main menu or the signal preview):
