How can I synchronize devices in separate spaces?

In general, we offer sync cables that take care of synchronizing two hubs when they are both acquiring data near each other and with the same computer. This would solve the problem with the delay of the signals.

When acquiring the data in separate spaces and from different computers with two devices, we suggest the following steps:

  1. Acquire a sync signal with both devices in the beginning when they are next to each other (e.g. with a light sensor)
  2. Perform your separate data acquisition in separate spaces
  3. Do the synchronization in the processing of the signal with the help of our Python Notebooks (Light / Acoustic)

Note, that without the synch cable and with different computers, there will still be some time shift.
